Brad serves his clients by implementing wealth preservation and management strategies to help them prepare for and maintain their lifestyle in retirement.
His primary goal is to help clients feel secure and confident about their financial future. He takes a personalized approach to planning and treats each client as an individual. As a result, he delivers customized plans and portfolios to his clients that are reflections of their goals, aspirations and values.
Brad believes that financial planning is not an event, but an ongoing process, requiring monitoring and revision to help ensure that clients stay on track. Whether the outcome is education funding, charitable giving, deriving income during retirement, or preserving and passing a legacy to the next generation, Brad has a defined, comprehensive proprietary process to help clients achieve their goals.
He is particularly empathetic to the challenges faced by women in transition and he helps increase their financial literacy, enabling them to gain confidence they need to manage their financial affairs. He hosts quarterly women’s seminars that touch on a variety of financial topics, including investment principles, estate planning and long-term care.
For more than 20 years, Brad has helped affluent clients with financial planning, wealth management, retirement plans, and has developed solutions for individuals and their closely-held businesses. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation, which demonstrates his ability to develop specific strategies to help minimize taxes, protect assets, maximize growth and transfer wealth. He has also earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, which recognizes him as a sophisticated investment consultant and wealth management advisor. In addition, Brad was included among the Best Advisory Practices in Colorado by the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices (NABCAP) in 2011 and 2012. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, as well as his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.
Brad enjoys golfing, traveling, watching movies, sports and many other activities with his friends and family. As a fourth-generation Kansas Jayhawk, he is a committed fan of college basketball and served for more than 10 years on the Advisory Board for the KU Alumni Association for Southern Colorado.
Over the years, he has been a volunteer and committee Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America. In a joint venture with the Rotary Club of East Colorado Springs, his committee developed a flag project that continues to raise more than $7,000 annually for the boy scout troop and the Rotary Club.
Brad has continually volunteered his time throughout Colorado Springs for various initiatives, including serving on his neighborhood’s HOA Board. Given his family’s military background, he was honored to accept an invitation to join the Colorado Thirty Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cooperation between civilians, the government and the armed forces.
His responsibilities as President and CEO of Harvey Investment Management, Inc. include individual and corporate retirement planning strategies, asset management, lending liability management and developing wealth management strategies.
