Michele DeMaree, JD | Editor-in-Chief

Working primarily behind the scenes, Michele ensures our adherence to the strictest compliance, communication, and fiduciary standards. She believes great communication begins with listening and that the best client experiences happen when people feel both heard and understood.

Before joining Harvey Investment Management, Michele built her legal career with a focus on privacy, compliance, and consumer education. She earned her Juris Doctor, joined the inaugural class of Certified Information Privacy Professionals, launched Best Buy’s first customer privacy program, and taught business and data privacy law classes.

A lifelong learner, Michele enjoys exploring new ideas and staying current with the trends, technology, and innovations shaping the financial services industry. She was initially drawn to working with Harvey by the opportunity to help communicate complex financial concepts in a way that is both meaningful and accessible. What keeps her engaged is the team's genuine commitment to serving clients and continually improving how they do so.

Following a lifetime of frequent relocations, Michele permanently returned to Colorado in 2005. She and her husband, Brad, enjoy spending time with family, playing golf and pickleball, and spoiling their two mini Goldendoodles, Winston and Teddy.
